Our Story
loving on natural hair Since 2010…
Our home-based salon vibes add to the intimacy, safety, and unique way of how we serve our clients. Starting out as a mobile salon with Simone going to clients’ homes to style their hair, Simone’s Styles is built on courage, self-acceptance, and knowledge. More than a place where Black women come to get their natural hair loved on, Simone’s Styles is an incubator for courageous women ready to wear their hair how it grows out their scalp.
for black women who are natural or transitioning…

Enough of not embracing your texture or being lazy, yes lazy, sis, with your hair. Or, the frustration that comes from a bad stylist experience, long wait time at the salon or miseducation about natural hair.
We know you want a thriving head of hair and a simple hair care and styling routine for your hair type. Here, at Simone’s Styles we educate you about your hair and treat you like the valued client you are.

excellent customer service
Waiting for hours in the salon to get your hair done on Saturday?! Or any day, for that matter is wasteful and outrageous. This is why we don’t do it: the time you book is the time we start.
gentle hands
No pulling, tugging, or snatching. Or tight edge-damaging braids. Instead we handle your hair with grace and expertise.
FOUNDER & CO-OWNER
Simone Little
Founder and Co-Owner, Simone Little, feels passionately about debunking myths and miseducation surrounding natural hair, feeling that many Black women fall into hair-damaging trends perpetuated by well-meaning, yet misinformed YouTubers or friends. Or, some Black women are tired and overwhelmed with the amount of hair, information, and products in attempting to care for their own hair.
“Natural hair needs more than styling or a protective style. It needs to be loved on to thrive.”
Simone started Simone’s Styles to turn her passion for natural hair into an enjoyable business and spread a message of self-acceptance in Black women with natural hair. Simone has built Simone’s Styles to solve her own hair struggles of spending hours in the salon on Saturday mornings, overprocessed hair, and having no one to turn to.
Simone, along with Co-Owner Rebekah Little has grown Simone’s Styles into the type of no-pressure space they both needed when they started their natural hair journey – a personal and inviting salon where their hair can thrive.
CO-OWNER & master stylist
Rebekah Little
“You’re not getting a perm anymore”. This one declaration from Simone to Rebekah ignited her natural hair journey.
After years of transforming her hair as a Simone’s Styles client, Rebekah Little joined her sister-in-law, Simone, as an apprentice stylist in 2015. Besides being sisters, Simone and Rebekah have a shared philosophy that healthy hair is happy hair.
Rebekah was Simone’s apprentice for three years, so she learned how to style and care for natural hair as well as how to manage the business aspect of a salon. Rebekah believes “many Black women don’t love the hair that grows out of their scalp. Here, we teach and show them something different”.
While the only hair Simone cares for these days is hers and her three-year-old daughter’s, Rebekah continues to manage and grow the salon, including launching a new product line, restarting their educational series, and learning more about scalp conditions.
